MouseGestureDragNewFun (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension that lets you navigate the browser
using mouse gestures. This policy explains, plainly, what the extension does and does not do with
your data.

Summary

• The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.
• The extension does not contain analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting SDKs.
• The extension makes no network requests of any kind.
• All settings are stored locally on your device and never leave it.

What data is processed, and where it stays

The extension reads your mouse movements (position and button state) while a gesture is being drawn,
purely in memory, to recognize the gesture’s direction. This data is never saved, logged, or sent
anywhere — it exists only for the duration of the mouse gesture and is discarded immediately after.

Your preferences (which gesture triggers which action, trigger button, trail color, sensitivity) are
saved using the browser’s built-in chrome.storage.local API. This storage is local to
your device and browser profile. It is never synced to a server, never accessed by the developer, and
never shared with any third party.

Permissions and why they are needed

• tabs — to perform gesture actions such as going back/forward, opening, closing, or switching tabs.
• storage — to save your gesture preferences locally on your device.
• sessions — to support the “reopen closed tab” gesture.
• scripting — to perform in-page actions such as scrolling to the top or bottom of a page.
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) — to detect mouse gestures on any page you visit, since gestures need to work everywhere, not just on a specific site.

None of these permissions are used to collect, read, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.

Third parties

The extension does not integrate any third-party service, advertising network, or data broker. There
are no external scripts, no remote code execution, and no calls to any server — everything runs
locally in your browser.

Children’s privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that involves
data handling — this page will be updated first, and the change will be clearly disclosed before it
takes effect.
